Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Every year, 3300 women and 25 men in New Zealand will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Early detection is your best protection and the earlier breast cancer is found, the more successfully it can be treated.
92% of women whose cancer is detected through regular screening mammograms will survive for 10 years or more, so if you’re over 40 get a mammogram this October. It’s equally important to know what your breasts normally look and feel like, and know the signs of breast cancer, so we’re launching the Change & Check campaign this month.
There are plenty of ways to get involved this October and we’re so excited about the campaigns and events that are on during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
